It’s a slightly quieter week for pickleball in Southland Murihiku, but there is still one great opportunity to get on court in Invercargill.
This Wednesday, you can join the only pickleball drop-in session running in Invercargill this week, and it includes FREE Pickleball101 coaching with Marcin (that is me, the guy typing all of this. I promise I know how to hit the balls too!).
The session will be held at Badminton Southland, directly opposite ILT Stadium Southland.
While “Pickleball101” might sound basic, it won’t be if you’re already playing regularly.
I will adapt the practice to suit whoever attends. If you’re new to pickleball, this is the perfect introduction to the game. If you’re an experienced player, you’ll receive specific drills, tactical tasks, and focused feedback designed to practice your game, but with a focus on the key essentials.
The goal is simple: structured improvement in a relaxed, social environment.

As always, Southern Slammers is an independent and informal group promoting all pickleball sessions available across Southland. Even though this week is a little quieter than usual, there are typically many sessions running throughout the region.
