All beginner players and those whore are still new to the game are welcome. **πŸ•‘ When:** Sunday, 30th August 2026 | 10:00am – 3:00pm **πŸ“ Where:** ILT Stadium Southland – The Velodrome, Courts 10 & 11 (hardcourts) **SOCIAL GRADE ONLY (!) for this one** :). This means, if you are new to the game, a "beginner" or just play casually in drop-ins normally, and you would like to play a bit more to meet new people, with a little bit of competitive flair, this is for you! Consider this a "taster" and shake-out for the South Island Champs happening in September! If you a regular tournament player with DUPR rating, and unsure what that means for you, please just email me here: *southernslammersnz@gmail.com* ##### The Format – "All-Sorts" This is doubles, but with a twist: **your partner can be any gender or age**. No restrictions, no complications. As for the games themselves: welcome to the *All-Sorts* experience as well. Some games timed, some to 11, some to 15 or even other! It keeps things interesting. Here's how the day runs: - **Pool/round robin play** first, then **play-offs**: and yes, **everyone moves to play-offs** - Minimum **5 games guaranteed** per pair (exact format depends on final numbers, but we'll maximise your court time) - Maximum **8 pairs (16 players)Β **β€” so spots are limited **Ball:** Franklin X-40 outdoor ball **Rules:** Official USAPA rules, with one small change to the serving rule that will be explained in a video and on the day. The Casual category also has a no-body-shots option for anyone who'd prefer it. ##### Entry Fee – $30 per person Pay simply via bank transfer. ##### How to Register Registration is via the form linked below. Once registered, please complete your payment via bank transfer to confirm your spot.
