**If you want to play in the 4th Annual Southern Slam in Gore, you have until 5:00pm today, Friday 23 October. After that, the doors close.**

140 players are already in for the longest-running pickleball tournament in the southern region. Singles, doubles and mixed, across Open, A/B and Social grades plus Super 60+, there's a spot for you. But only if you sign up **before 5pm today**.

📅 **When:** Friday 6 – Sunday 8 November 2026  
📍 **Where:** MLT Event Centre, Gore Multisports Complex, 20 Wayland Street West, Gore

### The Weekend at a Glance

**Friday 6 November – Singles**  
Men's and women's singles, starting at **4:00pm**.

**Saturday 7 November – Doubles**  
Open A, Open B and Social Grade (men and women), plus Super 60+. Play starts at **9:00am**, with medals awarded at close of play.

**Sunday 8 November – Mixed Doubles**  
Open A, Open B, Social Grade and Super 60+. Play starts at **9:00am**, with medals awarded at close of play.

- **New to tournaments?** Social Grade (\<3.5) is there for exactly that reason. Come and play, and meet plenty of friendly faces

### Entry Fees

- **Registration:** $30 per person
- **Event fee:** $25 per event, per person

Fees are refundable until registration closes, so there's little risk in locking in your spot now (the PickleballBrackets service fee is excluded).

### Format & Rules

- Round robin pool play, **to 15, win by 2**
- Medal matches: **best of 3 games to 11, win by 2**
- Matches recorded with **DUPR**. Add your rating (and ideally your DUPR ID) to your profile, as it's used for pool seeding
- Self-scored, apart from gold medal matches
- Official USA Pickleball rulebook
- We will try to maximize the amount of games you get to play

### The Venue

The MLT Event Centre has three courts on a wood sprung floor, the rest on Synpave, plus showers, changing rooms, water filling stations, free parking, a grandstand for spectators, food onsite, and a pool and ice rink.
